I'm sure as time goes on people will ask why and how I came up with the name of "I Spy Comics" as the name for my new publishing company. My reply goes like this...

I wanted to come up with a new, separate publishing moniker for this project so as not to get it confused with my other company "Egesta Comics" and the book that I co-published through it entitled "Dressed for Success". One day I sat down and was thinking about how my group of local comic publishing friends all had company names that were grouped in the same front section of the distributor catalogues. It got me to thinking about how I could find something that would nicely fit into this same grouping. then it hit me. I Spy Comics!

The inspiration came from a children's game called "I spy with my little eye" where one child would choose an object that they saw and give a brief clue to it's identity to the other kids playing. They would then have to try and guess what the object was. It is a fun and innocent game and reflected the same kind of feel that I wanted to come across with my new work.

And that's that.
